Biography

Jennifer Allen had a long career in TV Broadcasting. Upon learning her oldest son Samuel had Autism, she left her career and became a full time mother to both of her sons. Jennifer elicted the participation of her family and together they produced several independent programs including a childrens animated series titled “Ameriquest Kids”, as well as a Telly Award winning documentary and book titled, “Coping to Excelling: Solutions for School-Age Children Diagnsoed with High -Functioning Autism or Asperger Syndrome”. She formed the non profit Aspergers101 and launched Aspergers101.com (now Autism Level One) to provide an on-line, free resource chock full of life-long information for parents navigating ASD. Jennifer and her son Samuel have been keynote speakers for the Texas State Autism Conference, Educational Region Centers, and numerous speaking engagements to parents, educators, doctors, employers and organizations. She founded and oversees the trailblazing Texas Driving with Disability iniatitive and has passed 3 laws in her state to provide those with a communication challenge the option to disclose on the front of the Texas Driver LIcense, State ID or when registering their vehicle through the DMV. She works in conjunction with Texas DPS, DMV, TEA, TDLR and the Texas Governors Committee for People with Disabilities.
